Wings are the perfect snack for hanging out with
friends, watching sporting events, and just relaxing.
Want to make some delicious wings at home?
Here are some tips for making sure you have the best
wings around.
The best wings are crisp on the outside and are
moist and juicy on the inside. The sauce should be made according to personal
taste, but we like it hot!
The first thing you’ll need to do is get the coating
ready. Mix the flour, salt, and cayenne together and set it aside until you’re ready
to fry the wings.
Next, in a large heavy-bottomed pot, pour in two
inches of oil. Put the pot over medium heat and heat it until the oil is 375
degrees.
Working in batches, dredge the wings in the flour
mixture and fry until lightly browned, which should take about 10 to 12 minutes
per batch.
Using a slotted spoon, transfer the wings to a paper
towel-lined plate. One thing to remember is to make sure the oil returns to the
proper temperature before frying each batch.
In a large bowl, combine butter, lemon juice, and
hot sauce. Toss each batch in the hot sauce mixture and transfer the wings to a
large foil-lined baking sheet.
You’ll bake the wings at 400 degrees, turning them
over occasionally, until they are crispy and have absorbed most of the sauce.
This should take about 35 minutes.
When the wings come out of the oven, transfer them to
a serving platter and serve with blue cheese dressing and celery sticks.
Yum!
